Liam Neeson's outfit in the film Michael Collins goes under the hammer this week in an auction of movie memorabilia.

Collins' long green military coat with brass buttons, leather belt and gun holsters along with other garments worn by the Irish actor will be sold for as little as £350 (€415).

They are part of a sale by Bonhams in Knightsbridge which includes Christopher Lee's black cape from Dracula and Omar Sharif's full length cloak from Lawrence of Arabia.

Neeson's outfits from the 1996 award-winning biopic of the Irish revolutionary leader include a military cap and a khaki green military tunic.

The auction house is estimating the lot will sell for between €415 to €532. The pieces are being sold by international costume house Angels as part of a collection of more than 250 garments.

Among the star lots are James Bond's leather jacket, as worn by Meath-born actor Pierce Brosnan in Tomorrow Never Dies which is expected to fetch up to €7000.
